This project is intended to give a sense of what our current and future satellite population (might) look like from the perspective of an earthbound observer.
Despite all efforts to represent an approximately realistic overall image, it may happen that the brightness of the satellites and stars does not correspond to reality due to light pollution and variation in magnitude.
Sun and moon are not considered as light sources. Phase angles are not taken into account when reflecting light off satellites. A magnitude of 7 is assumed for most satellites (except ISS and a list of known brighter satellites). However, the altitude of the satellite is taken into account.
Please also keep in mind that in most cases the field of view is much larger than in reality.
